Prerequisites: the ollie, the kickflip is optional
For those who already know how to do the kickflip, the heelflip is very much like its twin brother: the kickflip. The difference being that your board will rotate the other way.
For those who still don't know what I'm talking about, and who are learning their first flip-trick, the heelflip is basically your board that will completely turn on itself below your feet within a few milliseconds. You can see the video with the QR code on the next page if you still don't see what a flip-trick is.
1-You're moving at a normal pace
2-Your feet are in the same position as for the Fs Pop Shove-it
3-Crouch down
4-Now everything is like an ollie, the difference being that your front foot will scrape diagonally (towards the front)
5-Your board will rotate on itself below your feet in the opposite direction of the kickflip
6-Once the board has done a full rotation, carry your courage and slam down.
Advice for the heelflip:
The mistake that a lot of beginners make is to jump forward and then the board lands behind you. To eliminate this mistake, you really have to think the same way as if you were doing an ollie: keep straight, parallel above the board.
Those who already know the kickflip will learn the heelflip a lot quicker than those who have no flip-tricks on their list of tricks. Never be afraid to fall because of the slicing.
